Setting

Setting in any work of literature is the foundation for the story/play/poem. Authour's are able to create stories that take place during specific times to produce what they want. In Pride and Prejudice and Hamlet the authors use their modern settings for their works. In Hamlet the setting of old Kings and Queens is used and allows for the story of Hamlet. Setting is more then just a physical place, setting also includes the beliefs of that time period. In Hamlet the ghost was a very important role because when a ghost was shown then it was a much more influential role then. In Pride and Prejudice the setting included the social practices of its time period.
